Contract Information

The design and construction of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) and related environmental projects offers enormous economic opportunity.

The ICC mainline and interchange project is broken into Contracts A-E, as follows:

Contracts

The first contract is Contract A, which was advertised in the summer of 2006. Click here for information about Contract A, including

Contract Packaging


 

Key Factors in Construction Contract Packaging

Right-of-Way:

  • 500 properties

Geotechnical:

  • 1,000 to 1,850 Engineering borings
  • In excess of 1,000 borings for SWM/Environmental

Environmental Sensitivity:

  • Aggressive tracking/monitoring of ROD commitments
  • Aggressive timing for permits
  • Strong oversight of all construction activities
  • An independent environmental monitor will be used

Community Challenges:

  • Work schedules
  • Noise/dust levels
  • Haul routes and vibration
  • Material storage/employee parking

Utilities:

  • Major gas transmission mains and other utility relocations must be fast-tracked

DBEs:

  • Aggressive outreach/involvement of national/local contractors and DBE community
