Traffic Information

As construction continues for the ICC it will be important for citizens and motorists to know the what, when, where and why of new area traffic patterns. The following traffic alerts are in Contract A, the segment of the ICC from I-370 to east of MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and Contract C, the segment from west of US 29 to I-95/US-1

Dogwood Road Closes Permanently - Contract C

Dogwood Drive at Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring, Maryland, is closed permanently as part of construction of the Intercounty Connector (ICC).
Concrete barriers, temporary crash cushions, barrels, temporary traffic signs and variable message boards will alert and guide motorists through the work zone. Variable message boards will update motorists as the actual date of the switch approaches. SHA reminds motorists to "Think Orange" as they drive through the work zone, reduce speeds and be attentive.
